IAM ratifies new agreement with Cedarcroft

Stratford, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 103 have ratified a new collective agreement with Cedarcroft Retirement Home in Stratford.
“The members were successful in getting an Arbitrator to award several wage adjustments as well as general wage increases,” explained IAM District Lodge 78 Business Representative Kim Valliere. Other agreement highlights include:
- Improved vision care benefits
- Improved life insurance benefits
- Improved nurse-in-charge premium
- Establishment of an employer-paid RRSP plan
“A special thanks goes out to the hard work of chief steward Heather Swinimer,” said Valliere. “It’s also noteworthy to mention how these members stood strong in solidarity with the negotiating committee during this challenging round of bargaining.”
The 56 members consist of Registered Professional Nurses, UCP’S, Dietary Aides, Receptionist and Housekeeping staff.
