Local 1295 members win enhancements in new collective agreement

Orleans, ON – IAM Local 1295 members working at Belcourt Manor Retirement home, were recently awarded a new Collective Agreement through arbitration.
The agreement includes improvements to the pension plan, vision care and shift premiums, as well as a long-overdue dental plan, and annual wage increases.
“The agreement is for only two years, which means we will be back in bargaining again later this year,” added Jim Snider, IAM District 78 Business Representative.
Belcourt Manor is located in Orleans, just outside of Ottawa. The 43 members of IAMAW Local Lodge 1295 perform office, nursing, dietary and housekeeping duties at the facility. They joined the IAM in 2011.
