Understanding Picket Lines

A picket line is a public demonstration organized by workers, usually during a strike, to show solidarity and bring attention to their demands. Employees stand together, often outside the workplace, holding signs and distributing information to raise awareness about the issues at hand. Picket lines serve several purposes: they highlight the importance of the workers’ concerns, encourage community support, and discourage others from crossing the line to work during a strike.
