Machinists Ratify Cat Rental Agreement!
Vancouver, BC – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 692 have ratified a new collective agreement with The Cat Rental Stores, by a margin of 85 per cent. “This new contract has a comprehensive list if improvements that the members are very pleased with,” said IAMAW District Lodge 250 Business Representative Al Cyr.
The agreement provides for wage increases of 1.5 per cent in the second year and 2 per cent in the third year. Other agreement highlights include :
• MSP to be paid 100 per cent by the employer
• H/W allowance increased to $300.00 for single and $600.00 for family
• Additional statutory holiday for Christmas Eve
• Safety glasses allowance increased to $300.00
• Standby pay increased to $150 per week
• Field Rate Premium of $1.00 per hour
• Sick Bank increased to 40 hours
• Tool allowance increased to $600.00
• Boot allowance increased to $190.00
The 65 members work in multiple locations in the province.
