AOSS Machinists Have New Agreement

Toronto, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 2323 have a new collective agreement with Airport Operational Support Services (AOSS).
 
“Our members rejected the initial offer from the employer,” explained IAM District Lodge 140 General Chairperson Lou Pagrach. “When the last offer came back with significant improvements to benefits, it was ratified.”
 
The three-year agreement provides a signing bonus of up to $750.00 depending on length of service and an immediate wage increase of 1.25 per cent, a 1.25 per cent wage increase in the second year and a 1.75 per cent wage increase in the third year. Other agreement highlights include significant improvements to vision care and other health care benefits.
 
The 200 members provide passenger assistance at Canada and US Customs and airport Security entrances at Terminals one and three at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.
 
The IAM is the largest union in Canada’s air transport sector.
