Machinists Ratify with TBH!

Toronto, ON – Machinist members employed at TBH (Toronto Baggage Handling) have ratified a new collective agreement.
“The members have ratified a 23-month agreement and the alternative after a year of often intense negotiations was strike action,” said IAMAW District 140 Organizer Ian Morland. “I can’t say enough about the hard work and commitment by Shop Steward Adam Skitch and Zaid Hamdam of the bargaining committee to achieve this agreement.”
The members will receive wage increases ranging from 3 to 11 per cent depending upon individual seniority. Other agreement highlights include :
• Improved benefits
• Improved contract language
TBH employs 70 members of IAMAW Local Lodge 2323 who perform various duties related to the handling of oversized baggage and inter-terminal baggage transfers at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
