Machinists Ratify with Smarte Carte Canada

Toronto, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 2413 have ratified a new collective agreement with Smarte Carte Canada.
The three-year agreement provides wage increases of 3 per cent in each year. Other agreement highlights include :
- Any of the unused personal days from each year will be paid out to each employee on the first day which comes following the anniversary of the contract
- Smarte Carte drivers will receive an annual safety boots allowance of $125.00
The 100 members maintain, collect and corral Smarte Carte baggage carts at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
The IAM is the largest union at Toronto Pearson and the largest union in the Canadian air transport sector.
