Rolls Royce Security Guards Ratify!
Lachine, QC – Security Guards employed by Rolls Royce Canada have ratified a new collective agreement.
The three-year agreement provides for wage increases of 2.5 per cent in each of the first two years and 3 per cent in the third year. The members will also increase their pension plan contributions by .5 per cent in the first and third years of the agreement. The agreement will also see an improvement in the number of sick days allowed.
“I would like to thank my negotiating team of Nicolas Flynn and Michel William for their hard work in attaining this agreement,” said IAMAW District 11 Assistant Directing Business Representative Denis Longtin. The 12 members of IAMAW Local Lodge 869 provide security services at the Rolls Royce plant in suburban Montréal.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
