Machinists ratify new agreement with Purewood Inc.

Brampton, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 1922 have ratified a new multi-year agreement with Purewood Inc.
The deal provides wage increases totaling 11.5 per cent over the life of the agreement. The most significant component of the agreement is the inclusion of the IAM pension plan with increased employer contributions in each year. The agreement also features improved vacation language.
“None of this would have been possible without the hard work of Chief Steward Yogesh Shah and bargaining committee members Lojani Muralitharan and Jerzy Watracz,” said IAM District Lodge 78 Business Representative Kim Valliere.
The 35 employees manufacture cabinetry for homes and offices.
