IBEW Reps join IAM

Sudbury, ON – Business Representatives of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local 1687 have joined the IAM.

“This small group of six people was attracted to us because we represent their counterparts with UFCW (United Food and Commercial Workers), ETFO (Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario) Toronto and CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) at Toronto’s Pearson Airport,” explained IAM Grand Lodge Representative and Organizer Scott Jackson. Based in Sudbury, the IBEW Local 1687 Business Representatives cover a geographic area in excess of 300,000 square miles stretching from Parry Sound in the south to North Bay in the East, Timmins and Cochrane in the north and as far west as Sault Ste. Marie.

The IAM also represents Business Representatives for the Nova Scotia Government Employees Union.
