It’s that time of year again for a Federal Lobby!!
Over the last few years, the IAM has been the major participant in the CLC Parliament Hill Lobby Days. Let’s continue to hit above our weight and make Lobby Days 2018 even more successful!
Four topics are being considered for inclusion in the lobby day; including pharmacare, pay equity, pension and bankruptcy reform, and employment insurance. The registration is now open for the CLC lobby day on February 6, 2018. A mandatory planning and training session will be held on February 5, 2018 at 6 pm at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Ottawa City Centre.
All lobby day attendees must be registered through the online form in order to participate in the lobby. Please identify who from your Local Lodge will be coming to participate in the lobby. We will be working hard to make sure at least one person in each lobby delegation is a constituent of the MP being lobbied. This form is live – Register Now!
Please remember to reserve your travel and accommodation, as necessary. A block of rooms has been reserved and a flight discount secured, for your convenience. Details can be found in our Accommodations Guide.
Deadline to Register is January 26, 2018.
As many MPs will not take meetings unless they know exactly who they are meeting with well in advance, we ask that participants register as early as possible.
Please note: all participants will be required to provide their cellphone number and an email address where they can be reached leading up to and on the day of the lobby so that any schedule or logistics changes can be communicated in a timely manner as needed during the lobby day.
