Machinists Ratify Agreement with Kingsway Arms

Clarington, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 1295 have ratified a new collective agreement with Kingsway Arms Retirement Home.
The three-year agreement provides wage increases of 2 per cent in each of the first two years and 3 per cent in the third year. Other agreement highlights include :
• Increased contributions to the IAM pension plan
• Two additional sick days
• Contract language improvements
The 50 members consist of Personal Support Workers, Registered Practical Nurses, receptionists, dieticians, housekeeping and kitchen staff. The IAM also represents health care workers at retirement homes in Ottawa, North Bay, Stratford and Toronto.
