Machinists Ratify with Pinawa

Pinawa, MB – Members of IAM Local Lodge 608 have ratified a new collective agreement with the Local Government District of Pinawa.
“The members knew what they wanted and they achieved it,” explained IAM District Lodge 181 Directing Business Representative Wayne Relf. “They were satisfied with their current benefits package and felt wage increases was the way to go. We had a tentative deal within three hours and the members were happy.”
Three year agreement provides a 10 per cent wage increase over the term with 3 per cent in the first year, 3.5 per cent in the second year and 3.5 per cent in the third year.
The 11 members consist of office personnel, equipment operators, labourers, mechanics and a custodian.
