Dorothy Wick (1930-2020)
Brothers and Sisters of the IAM family,
It is with regret and sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dorothy Wick, beloved mother of GVP Stan Pickthall. Dorothy passed peacefully early on January 1, 2020, just days before her 90th birthday.
Born on January 5, 1930 in Lancashire, England. She was predeceased by husband John Wick, who passed 39 years earlier in 1981. She was fiercely proud of her three sons Stan, Ken and Steve.
Dorothy also took great pride in her five grandchildren, Vanessa and Amanda (shown in photo), Stephanie, Kelly, and Kyle and was adored by her three great-grandchildren, Evan, Lila, Harper (Vanessa).
“Mom was a regular patron and supporter of the Army Navy Air Force club in Vancouver. She loved the meat draws and the gossip and her many friends who were regulars there. She passed away in the early hours of 2020 and was surrounded by her three sons in her final hours. Mom loved her bingo.”
There will be a private family gathering, followed by a small celebration of life with a few family and friends in attendance. Further details will follow when available.
