IAM healthcare footprint continues to grow
Niagara Falls, ON – IAM District 78 is continuing to grow its healthcare footprint. The 48 employees of Emerald Retirement home voted 3 to 1 to join the IAM.
District 78 Organizers Roy Bhansingh and Rootisha Rampat-Sukhur were contacted by the employees and had the group working together fairly quickly. “These workers knew what they wanted and knew of the IAM, so it made our job a little easier”, said Bhansingh.
Our newest members provide nursing, housekeeping, dietary tasks and building maintenance for the clients of the home.
Emerald Retirement is a retirement home located in Niagara Falls, ON.
The IAM represents Healthcare workers in retirement homes and long-term care facilities throughout the province of Ontario, as well as Alberta.
