LL1295 members at Fairfield by Marriott ratify new agreement
The members of IAM Local 1295 working at the Fairfield by Marriott ratified a new collective agreement last week.
“The first employer offer didn’t address the members monetary demands and was voted down late last year. With a significant immediate wage increase, this offer was overwhelmingly accepted,” stated District 78 Union Representative Vivianne Simon. “The negotiations committee of Tamara Johnson and Alana Sharma did a great job relaying the members demands to the Employer.”
The housekeeping, front desk, kitchen and maintenance employees provide Union-represented services to the guests at the 110-room hotel located in Brampton. The members at Fairfield by Marriott joined the IAM in October 2010.
