Lobby Day – Ottawa February 5-6-7-, 2018
Ottawa, ON – It’s time for another day of lobbying on Parliament Hill with the Canadian Labour Congress.
We will be lobbying the government on the need for National Pharmacare and stopping the privatization of Canadian infrastructure which includes our airports, a subject of great interest to our IAM members. The schedule dates are February 5, 6 and 7, 2018 .Local Lodge Political Action Committees and Local Lodge presidents should place this item on the agendas for their next meeting to initiate discussion and interest.
Interested members are advised that you should be in Ottawa on February 5th for an afternoon training session, the actual lobby of parliamentarians will take place Tuesday February 6th and Wednesday February 7th is a travel day.
Last year, the IAM fielded over 70 members to the lobby day, by far the largest contingent by a participating union affiliate.
