Machinists ratify first agreement with Super 8
Sarnia, On – Members of IAMAW Local Lodge 1295 have ratified their first collective agreement with Super 8 Hotel in Sarnia.
The two-year agreement provides a wage increase of 95 cents an hour in the first year and a wage re-opener in the second year. Other agreement highlights include :
• A $240 signing bonus
• Improved vacation benefits with three weeks vacation after ten years of service
• Establishment of a Bereavement clause
The 16 members provide housekeeping and maintenance services.
IAMAW, among the largest industrial trade unions in North America, represents more than 700,000 active and retired members, and administers more than 5,000 contracts in transportation, woodworking, aerospace, manufacturing and defense related industries.
