Mississauga, On –The 40 members of IAM Local Lodge 1922 employed by Filamat Composites Inc. have ratified a new three-year collective agreement.

The agreement provides for wage increases of 2.5% in the first year, 2.5% in the second year, and 2% in the third year. Other monetary improvements include a $ .05 per hour pension increase in the second and third year respectively. Other agreement highlights include :

• Increased paramedical services benefit.
• Enhanced bereavement benefit
•  Improved contract language
•  Increased safety shoe allowance

The Union committee of Emerald Linton, Roderick Lettman, and Huu Thinh Huynh came to the bargaining table with resolve and I have to congratulate them on their commitment to get a good agreement for our members during this round of bargaining.

Filamat Composites Inc. is an original equipment manufacturer of fiberglass reinforced (FRP) products used in stormwater, municipal water& wastewater, mining and solvent extraction, chemical processing, air treatment and pulp and paper processes.
