Machinists Ratify New Agreement with Volvo Logistics

Mississauga, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 1922 have ratified a new collective agreement with Volvo Logistics Operations Americas, Toronto PDC.
“Our members have contributed to make the Mississauga facility one of the top rated in the Volvo Logistics Group,” explained IAM District Lodge 78 Business Representative Derek Ferguson. “This agreement reflects on that contribution and our members are pleased with it.”
The three-year agreement provides wage increases of 3 per cent in the first year and 2.5 per cent in the second and third year respectively. Other agreement highlights include :
• Improved health and safety language
• Increased health care benefits
• Increased RRSP Contributions
The seven members provide warehouse services at the Mississauga facility which distributes parts for Volvo trucks, buses and construction equipment as well as drive systems for marine and industrial applications.
