Machinists ratify new deal with Alternative Belting Enterprises

Langley, B.C. – Members of IAM Local Lodge 692 have ratified a new collective agreement with Alternative Belting Enterprises in British Columbia.

The one-year agreement provides wage increases of 9.37 per cent bringing the members wage rate to $41.69 per hour. Other agreement high lights include:

  • An additional $1.38 per hour into their IAM Labour-Management Pension bringing the company contribution to $4.05 per hour on all hours worked
  • A $2,000.00 (net) signing bonus

The 17 members consist of Journeymen, Specialists and Belt Technicians.

Alternative Belting Enterprises Ltd. specializes in conveyor manufacturing, heavy duty belting, lightweight belting, belting installation and belting repairs for the mining, construction and forestry industries.
