Machinists Ratify with Leavitt Machinery

Edmonton, AB – Members of IAM Local Lodge 99 have ratified a new collective agreement with Leavitt Machinery.
The new three-year agreement provides wage increases of 2.5 per cent in the first and second year and 3 per cent in the third year. Other agreement highlights include :
• Improved holiday entitlement
• Introduction of personal eyewear
• Pension improvements
• Increased shift premiums
• New optional continuous shift in the Oil Sands Region for members who wish to reside outside of the region and commute.
The 80 members consist of Heavy Equipment technicians, Automotive technicians and Parts personnel. Leavitt Machinery is an industry leader in materials handling equipment solutions specializing in forklifts and aerial equipment such as boom lifts and scissor lifts. The company has 18 branch locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Oregon State and Washington State.
