Machinists ratify with Maitland Ford Lincoln

Sault Ste. Marie, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 2332 have ratified a new collective agreement with Maitland Ford Lincoln Sales.
The four-year agreement provides wage increases of 1 per cent in the first year and 2.5 per cent in years two, three and four respectively. Other agreement highlights include:
- Signing bonus of $1,000.00 for journeymen and $500.00 for all others
- Pension contributions will increase from the current 11 per cent to 13 per cent in .5 per cent yearly increments
The seventeen members include journeymen, parts personnel and general garage workers. The IAM represents workers at five auto dealerships in the steel city. Across Canada, the IAM represents more than 1500 workers in automotive dealerships on Vancouver Island, the lower mainland of British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
