Machinists Ratify with SKF Canada Limited

Markham, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 901 have ratified a new collective agreement with SKF Canada Limited.
The three-year agreement provides a wage increase of 1.75 per cent in the first year retroactive to June 30, 2013 and wage increases of 2 per cent in the second and third year respectively.
Other agreement highlights include :
• Substantial improvement to defined benefit pension plan
• Improvements to health services spending accounts
• Increased personal time
• Improvements to Lead Hand and Group Leader premiums
• Life insurance premiums for retirees improved
• Improved contract language
The 23 members consist of warehouse personnel, machinists and general utility workers. SKF is the world’s largest manufacturer of roller bearings.
