Machinists Sign New Agreement with Cedarcroft

Stratford, ON – Members of IAM Local Lodge 103 have ratified a new collective agreement with Cedarcroft Retirement Home in the festival city. “None of this would have been possible without the tremendous efforts of the negotiating team of Heather Stewart and Patricia Buuck,” said IAM District Lodge 78 Business Representative Kim Valliere.
 
The three-year agreement provides for a lump sum payment of varying amounts in the first year and across the board increases of 2 per cent in the second year and 3 per cent in the third year. Other agreement highlights include :
Improved vision care benefits
Increased Life Insurance Benefits
Extra week vacation after 20 years services
Language Improvements
 
 
The members consist of Registered Practical Nurses, Uncertified Care Providers, dietary, laundry, housekeeping, kitchen personnel, activity director and receptionist.  
 
The IAM represents workers at retirement homes in Stratford, Toronto, Clarington, North Bay and Ottawa.
