New agreement for London Days Inn includes improvement in wages, benefits
London, ON – Members at Days Inn London of Local lodge 1295 ratified a new 3-year collective agreement. Committee member Charlene Jarvi was integral in raising the concerns of the members. The new contract includes improvements to scheduling language to ensure equitable distribution of shifts based on seniority, advanced notice of schedules, the introduction of in lieu of benefits for part-time workers, and 3% wage increases in each year of the agreement with protections to ensure wage increases exceed any proposed increases to minimum wage.
Members at the London Days Inn joined the IAM in 2010 and provide housekeeping and maintenance services at the Days Inn outlet in the Forest City.
