NUPGE Staff Reps join IAM

Toronto, ON – Staff Representatives from the National Union of Public and General Employees have joined the IAM.
The ten representatives provide support and coordination for NUPGE members unions in Ontario such as OPSEU and Canadian Union of Brewery and General Workers Local 325.
“Many of these groups operated as a staff associations and wanted the resources and expertise of the IAM to speak on their behalf,” said IAM Grand Lodge Representative and Organizer Scott Jackson.
The NUPGE staff representatives join their counterparts from the Canadian Labour Congress, Canadian Office and Professional Employees, United Food and Commercial Workers, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Nova Scotia Government and General Employees and the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario – Toronto, as members of IAM Local Lodge 1922.
